IMG Junior World Qualifier here at Cambridge Meridian.

Wed 28 Feb 2018

On September 23rd 2018, over 100 of UK's best junior golfers, aged between 6 and 17 years, will be joining us here at Cambridge Meridian to compete for a place at the IMG Academy Junior World Championships in San Diego, California, in 2019.

Run by the British Junior Golf Tour (BJGT), this qualifier is one of the most prestigious on the UK junior golf calendar. Every year, the BJGT sends around 20 junior golfers over to San Diego to represent the UK, going up against the best players from around the world.

We are expecting the BBC Look East cameras at this event, with the first tee time at 7.30 am, and juniors will be teeing off for 5 hours.

The course will be closed for general play from 7.15 am until 3pm.

Cambridge Meridian has two current members, Luca Randall and Lila-Belle Nacca, who are playing in this competition, so good luck to them! In 2015, when Luca was only 6, he won the UK qualifier and went out to San Diego, where he finished 9th in his age category. Lila-Belle competed in San Diego last year.

The BJGT are also running a smaller event here on June 3rd, and this will incorporate the Cambridge Meridian Junior Open, so if you would like to enter, click here.
