Ian Cochrane joins the Cambridge Meridian Golf Management team
Wed 29 Nov 2017
We would like to introduce Ian Cochrane as your new PGA Professional coach. Ian has recently joined the golf management team here at Cambridge Meridian and is delighted to have the opportunity to help in any way that he can, to improve the club, your golf game, and enjoyment of this wonderful sport. Many of you already know Ian very well, but if not, he hopes to get to know as many of you as soon as possible.
Ian has worked in the golf industry for over 30 years and has gained experience and skills in every aspect of this industry. Ian moved to Cambridge 12 years ago and, with partners, set up the Cambridge Golf & Conference Centre at Hemingford Abbots. Starting as Director, Ian was responsible for overseeing the Retail, Academy and Range, then as the General Manager, he added Conferencing and F&B to his responsibilities.
Prior to moving to Cambridge, Ian’s roles have included Training, Marketing and National Sales for the two largest golf retail chains in the UK.
For the past 4 years, Ian has been coaching full-time as Director of the Get Inspired Golf Academy at Hemingford Abbots, which has been a great success. Ian will be bringing many of his clients from the Academy to Meridian.
As a professional coach, Ian’s goal is to help other passionate golfers enjoy the game as much as possible, regardless of their motivation, be it handicap reduction, social golf, keeping fit or even following your dream of becoming a professional golfer.
As a student of the game for nearly 40 years, Ian believes that there is a swing and game within everyone, it just needs a little help to bring it out and that is what Ian does best.
In addition to being a PGA Professional, Ian recently graduated as England’s first TATHATA GOLF
Certified Movement Specialist. This is a new, amazing holistic approach to learn, play and coach golf, enabling everyone, regardless of age or ability, to improve.
