Course Care by Turfcare Leisure
Mon 05 Aug 2013
With Xmas rapidly approaching it is good to reflect on the past golf-ing season and how the course has stood up to the exceptionally wet summer.
Although challenging for both Green keeper and golfer alike the wet weather has helped the fairways and the newly planted Gorse bushes to become an increasing feature of the course.
This autumn the greens and tees were hollow tined, over seeded, top dressed and more recently verti-drained in preparation for 2013. One of our main aims next year is to increase the pace of the greens and to improve the overall presentation of the course. Currently we are in the process of slitting all of the fairways and this will continue throughout the winter when weather allows.
We hope that you enjoy playing the course over the Christmas period and on behalf of David and all the green keeping team we would like to wish all of the members a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
